1/4 cup butter
1 cup brown sugar
1 egg
3/4 cup flour
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp vanilla
1/2 cup nuts (optional)
Preheat over to 350.
Grease 8-inch square pan.
Melt butter over low heat.
Remove from fire. Add brown sugar
and stir until blended. Let cool.
Whisk in one egg.
Then add flour, baking powder, salt, vanilla and nuts (if desired). Stir until combined.
Spread in pan. Bake
for 25 minutes or until a slight imprint remains when lightly touched.
